Honors and Scholars Students shine on Ohio State’s 2025 Homecoming Court

The Honors and Scholars community is once again proudly represented on The Ohio State University’s Homecoming Court. Of the 20 students selected, an impressive 19 are affiliated with Honors and Scholars programs, a testament to their leadership, service, and Buckeye spirit.

You can see the full Homecoming Court during the annual Homecoming Parade at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 3.

Homecoming Court members are chosen for their leadership, integrity, school spirit, and meaningful contributions to campus life. These students exemplify the core values of Ohio State and serve as role models within the university community.

In addition to being recognized, Homecoming Court members also “pay it forward” by fundraising for a cause of their choice, further demonstrating their commitment to service and community impact.

Among this year’s court are three Honors students from the Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program: Paige Galperin, Aly Murphy, and Jaden Zelidon.

Additional University Honors students on the court include:

  • Ananya Kamalakannan
  • Sonali Modak
  • Safa Mohamed
  • Naina Sarup
  • Leah Wassef
  • Morgan Kaiser, who also serves as the undergraduate representative on the Honors and Scholars Alumni Society Board of Governors.

Modak reflects on their Buckeye experience:

“To be a Buckeye is to commit to something greater than ourselves, building a legacy that improves the world around us and inspires a brighter tomorrow.”

Two additional court members affiliated with both Honors and Scholars include:

Harish shares her perspective:

“For me, being a Buckeye means embracing a legacy of excellence, resilience, and community. It’s about upholding traditions, supporting fellow Buckeyes, and striving for success in academics, leadership, and service. Buckeye Pride is about embodying values of diversity, innovation, and determination.”

Rounding out the list are eight Ohio State Scholars students representing six different programs:

  • Kendhyl Wilder – International Affairs Scholars

Roy shares what being a Buckeye means to her:

“As a Buckeye, I strive to serve others, celebrate our shared values, and honor the spirit that unites us—because being a Buckeye means never giving up on yourself or the people around you.”
