Honors and Scholars Faculty Network

Faculty who regularly engage with Honors and Scholars students through teaching courses, participating in events, engaging in extracurriculars, and take on a mentoring role are all a part of our faculty network. We encourage faculty to further their involvement with the center through one of the opportunities below:

Honors Instructors

Honors instructors support the over 350 sections of Honors courses at Ohio State. Multiple times a semester, Honors instructors will receive a newsletter from the center with the latest updates, strategies, and opportunities to grow their teaching impact.

The University Honors and Scholars Center plans to host an Honors instructors community, so instructors can engage directly with fellow educators to share best practices, pilot new classroom initiatives, and more.

Application Support

In support of our holistic review practices, faculty have the opportunity to support the center in identifying our best and brightest buckeyes for the Stamps Eminence Scholars Program, Honors and Scholars Enrichment Grants, and more.

Stamps Eminence Faculty Network

One of the goals of the Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program is that each Scholar will develop close relationships with faculty members in an area of mutual interest. To meet this goal, the Stamps Eminence Program has created a network of faculty who are well connected to a wide variety of other faculty in their own and related disciplines and are able to identify those faculty who could potentially become mentors.

Scholars Faculty Engagement

Faculty are oftentimes guest speakers, join extracurricular activities, or travel on Scholars domestic trips in order to engage students in each of the 16 Scholars program themes. Passionate about one of our theme areas? Reach out to Karrie Mills, Scholars Program Director, to learn about how to get involved.

Honors and Scholars Faculty Advisory Committee

The Honors and Scholars Faculty Advisory Committee (HSFAC), composed of faculty representation from across campus, provides faculty governance and oversight of all things Honors and Scholars at the university with the majority of activity centered on the approval of all Honors courses and college programs.
