Alumni Spotlight Stories

Drew Enigk '12 - Drew Enigk, a 2012 graduate of Ohio State and the University Honors Program, had the opportunity to spend two months over the summer observing chimpanzees in Uganda’s Kibale National Park as he works on earning his Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico.

Dan Linden '10 - We have all heard the cliché: a new, unfamiliar experience- for example, starting out college- is a bit of a metaphorical roller coaster ride. Before departure, there are nerves and excitement, and the journey itself is full of unexpected twists and turns, inevitable ups and downs. For Dan Linden, 2010 graduate of The Ohio State University, the roller coaster metaphor takes on even deeper significance.

Sarah Yoho '09 - What would you do if there were more than twenty-four hours in a day and you had a robot to clean your house?  Ohio State grad student Sarah Yoho would spend more time working in the lab…and for a good reason.

Oliver Glass '05 - Not long ago, Ollie Glass started out as the typical Ohio State undergraduate student.  He admits to jumping into Mirror Lake for OSU vs. Michigan games- recalling that it was snowing at least one of those times- and rubbing the bust of Thompson for good luck before every exam.

Barbara Camens '79 - Barbara Camens, like many OSU Honors alumni, exemplifies success in both her professional and personal life.  She calls her interview a “blast from the past,” adding that she just visited campus for the first time in thirty years.

Arthur Fisk '78 - Arthur Fisk is one of many interesting and successful people who got their start at The Ohio State University.  Having worked in a factory right out of high school, Fisk initially attended the Mansfield branch of Ohio State before transferring to the main campus in the late ‘70s.
