Throughout this presentation, you’ll not only learn about some of the awesome opportunities and resources you have as an Honors student, but also how to talk about what being an Honors student in college really means. We will also identify and discuss the struggles that first-year Honors students may encounter during their first semester or year, and how to overcome these struggles by providing appropriate resources and overall, normalizing struggle. This discussion will be facilitated by a panel of staff and peers who are here to support you on your journey.

Learn how to use the skills mapping template in their Scholars workbook for self-assessment and mapping examples of their learning to NACE career readiness competencies. The session is designed to be flexible to you with varying levels of prior experience, including those who are new to using PebblePad and those who are currently taking the GenEd Launch Seminar.

Join HCLC and the Interdisciplinary Creative Collective (ICC) for an evening of creativity and collage making! Students from all majors are invited to explore the power of art as a form of expression and communication. Choose a theme and create a collage that blends visual storytelling and narrative. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether you are an experienced artist or just a beginner. Connect with your peers, and get inspired by the diverse perspectives of our campus community. Donuts will be provided.

Did you know a few kind words can brighten someone’s entire day? Join your HCAs for Love From Lincoln! We’ll be writing thoughtful “get well soon” and encouragement letters to bring a little warmth to individuals in local hospitals and care facilities. All supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity and compassion!
