"So, You're In Honors...?" is a First Year Success Series (FYSS) presentation that introduces new Honors students to the benefits, opportunities, and expectations of being part of the University Honors Program at Ohio State. Students hear directly from current Honors Community Advocates (HCAs), who share their personal experiences, common challenges they faced during their first year, and strategies for navigating college successfully. The session explores common experiences of high-achieving students, including academic pressure, overcommitment, uncertainty about academic and career paths, and high expectations. Through reflection activities, peer discussion, and HCA stories, students learn practical strategies for success while becoming familiar with key campus resources and support systems. By the end of the presentation, students gain a better understanding of how to make the most of their Honors experience and build a strong foundation for success at Ohio State.

These sessions offer a welcoming environment for independent study, collaboration, and meaningful connections. Each session will feature a brief guided reflection focused on community, belonging, mentorship, networking, and personal growth, with plenty of time to focus on your academic priorities. Select sessions will also feature guest speakers and additional engagement opportunities! Whether you're looking to get ahead on assignments, connect with peers, or reflect on your next steps, there's a place for you! Come study, connect, and grow with HNP! No registration necessary.

Join the Honors community for a fun and free bedazzling event! Students are invited to bring personal items to bedazzle such as phone cases, a lipgloss container, or a calculator. Some halloween masks will be provided for those who forget/don’t have a personal item. Buckeye Donuts will be provided!
