The Eminence Fellows Program at The Ohio State University has named 68 Finalists for the Class of 2027.
Virtual interviews will take place throughout January and February and finalists will visit the Ohio State Columbus campus on Friday, March 3 to participate in an immersive campus event, Eminence Finalist Friday. This will include a special welcome with University Provost Dr. Melissa L. Gilliam, MD, MPH, and dinner with Senior Vice Provost Dr. Charlene Gilbert. Finalists will have a chance to spend the day with current Eminence Fellows to learn about the class community impact projects along with visiting faculty in their respective disciplines.
This year’s finalists represent 13 states, 26 Ohio cities, and 52 high schools. Among them are a variety of student leaders, researchers, tutors, mentors, dedicated employees, and talented musicians and artists. They have all given of their time and talents to their high schools and individual communities.
The Class of 2027 will be the 12th class of Eminence Fellows. The program encourages and supports an inclusive community of individuals in academic pursuits, research, and Columbus and campus community involvement. Students in the program also receive a scholarship that covers the full cost of attendance for eight full-time semesters and includes access to a $3000 enrichment grant for study abroad. Approximately 25 scholarships will be awarded this year.
