Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program Honored as a 2025 Program of Excellence in Engaged Scholarship

The Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program has been recognized as a 2025 Programs of Excellence in Engaged Scholarship. The program’s commitment to service, leadership, and engaged scholarship has made a profound impact, and this recognition is a testament to its unwavering dedication. 

The Office of Outreach and Engagement celebrates the outstanding commitment and transformative impact of engaged scholarship. With a mission to elevate programs that foster meaningful collaboration between academia and the community, the office has established a prestigious certification process to recognize excellence in engaged scholarship. Each year, projects that exemplify high-impact, community-centered scholarship are identified and honored for their dedication to making a difference. 

Reflecting on the honor, Dr. Rebecca Ward, program manager, shared, “At the heart of the Stamps Eminence Program is a deep commitment to community connection and impact, so being recognized by the Office of Outreach and Engagement is both meaningful and affirming. From their very first semester on campus, Stamps Eminence Scholars begin building partnerships with local organizations and leaders—relationships that are key to developing service projects that are truly impactful.”

The Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program embodies the spirit of engaged scholarship by fostering authentic partnerships that uplift communities and drive real change. Through these collaborations, students cultivate the skills and perspective necessary to lead with purpose and create lasting impact.  

Associate Vice Provost of Academic Enrichment, Dr. Ola Ahlqvist says, “It is an honor to see the Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program recognized by the Office of Outreach and Engagement. I have had the pleasure to see the dedication and innovation of our staff in cultivating a program together with community partners and our students. This has led to consistent outcomes that are both intellectually enriching to our students and impactful for the communities served. As our scholars graduate and begin applying the knowledge and values fostered through the program, their projects continue to have impact in meaningful ways beyond Ohio State.”
