With a mission to elevate programs that foster meaningful collaboration between academia and the community, the office has established a prestigious certification process to recognize excellence in engaged scholarship. Each year, projects that exemplify high-impact, community-centered scholarship are identified and honored for their dedication to making a difference.
Reflecting on the honor, Dr. Rebecca Ward, program manager, shared, “At the heart of the Stamps Eminence Program is a deep commitment to community connection and impact, so being recognized by the Office of Outreach and Engagement is both meaningful and affirming. From their very first semester on campus, Stamps Eminence Scholars begin building partnerships with local organizations and leaders—relationships that are key to developing service projects that are truly impactful.”
