Honors and Scholars Enrichment Grants

Working toward our vision of ensuring every Honors and Scholars buckeye reaches their individual goals, the Center awards several student enrichment grants thanks to support from our generous donors.

What are Honors and Scholars enrichment grants?

Honors and Scholars enrichment grants are scholarships that award up to $3,000 directed towards funding of special projects and extracurriculars beyond the classroom experience including undergraduate research, creative work, education abroad, internships, service-learning projects, and more.

The experiences will need to highlight and include the Honors and Scholars G.O.A.L.S,: Global Engagement, Original Inquiry, Academic Enrichment, Leadership Development and Service Immersion. Enrichment grants are awarded based on a competitive application process.

Application

To apply for an enrichment grant, applicants will need to prepare information about their experience for which they are seeking funding including a detailed summary of the project or experience, project term, project advisor/mentor, budget, relation to the Honors and Scholars GOALS, a recommendation letter from an Ohio State staff, faculty, lecturer, or other university mentor, and more.

We strongly encourage applicants to read through the application landing page in detail and prepare materials ahead of time before submitting your materials all at once.

The autumn 2024 application is now closed.

All applicants will be notified of their award decision by November 25.

“The Honors and Scholars enrichment grant was instrumental in helping me to launch my first nonprofit organization. The funding I received from H&S covered the cost of my nonprofit’s launch event, allowing us to raise nearly $10,000 for charity on our first day.”
