Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Hollings Scholarship Program is designed to increase undergraduate training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education. Approximately 100 scholarships are awarded annually to college sophomores studying oceanic, environmental, biological, and atmospheric sciences, mathematics, engineering, remote sensing technology, geography, physics, or hydrology. The award provides academic assistance (up to $9,500) for junior and senior years and a 10-week, full-time summer internship at a NOAA facility.
