First year Mount Scholars take a one credit hour Mount Seminar course fall semester. Taught by the program coordinator, the course focuses on leadership styles, strengths, social change, diversity, and decision making. The class meets weekly in the fall.
Second year Mount Scholars take one of two classes: ES HESA 2571 (Leadership in Community Service) or ES HESA 2571 (Diversity and Social Justice in Leadership). Both classes are three credit hours.
In addition, many Mount Scholars choose to "self-cluster" themselves in General Education courses by simply scheduling the same classes at the same time.
Finally, scholars receive college level priority scheduling which allows them to schedule classes at the beginning of their rank.
We welcome students from all majors in our program (a variety of majors makes Mount even better!).
