United Kingdom Scholarships

Ohio State selects its nominees for Scholarships to the United Kingdom each spring. Our next nomination process will take place during the spring of 2023.

Through this process, we will select nominees for the Rhodes Scholarship and Marshall Scholarship. We may also identify students for other UK awards, such as the Churchill ScholarshipMitchell Scholarship, and Gates Cambridge Scholarship. These awards have later nomination deadlines, and interested students should contact the Undergraduate Fellowship Office.

About the Application Process

Students MUST be nominated by their undergraduate institution in order to apply for the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships. You may not apply directly to the Rhodes or Marshall foundation.

In the spring, interested students will submit an application for university nomination. A panel of faculty and distinguished scholars will convene to review all applications. The panel will conduct interviews with a select number of applicants. OSU will announce our nominees for the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships in April. The nominees will then work with faculty and staff to create a competitive application for the national Rhodes & Marshall deadlines in October.
