Mount Scholars are hosting their Empty Bowls project on Friday, October 16, from 2-6pm.   For $10, you receive a bowl of homemade soup, bread, water, and an empty ceramic bowl to remind you of the need to feed the hungry.   All proceeds benefit the Mid Ohio Food Bank, and the bowls were created an glazed by Mount Scholars.  Last year, our goal was $2008 (we surpassed that and raised the most money of any of the Columbus area Empty Bowls sites).   This year, due to the substantial increase in number of  families turning to food assistance, our goal is $3000! Stop by Royer Activity Center on Friday to purchase a bowl and make a dent in the fight for hunger!
