Our Mission
The Honors Collegium recruits purposeful undergraduate students who expect to distinguish themselves beyond the baccalaureate degree. Through interaction with
world-class faculty and meaningful enrichment opportunities, the Honors Collegium seeks to develop these students into intellectual leaders, global citizens and
competitive applicants for eminent graduate/professional schools and prestigious scholarships and fellowships.
Members of the Collegium are identified early through a competitive application process. These students create customized learning experiences, embrace rigorous
academics, and aspire to become intellectual leaders in the global community.
Collegium Advisory Committee
The Honors Collegium is advised by a group of senior, distinguished OSU faculty members and community leaders. The committee provides assistance to the Director of the Collegium in developing a strategic plan and vision for the future of the program. These initiatives continue to develop and cultivate the Collegium students’ academic excellence, leadership abilities, social consciousness, and global competence. The Advisory Committee also plays an important role in helping to select new Collegium students through a competitive application process.

Collegium Faculty Community
A goal of the Honors Collegium is that each member will develop close relationships with faculty members in an area of mutual interest. Toward this
end, the Collegium has begun to build a community of faculty who are well connected to a wide variety of other faculty in their own and related
disciplines.
Members of the Collegium Faculty Community are recruited for their reputation as both distinguished researchers and excellent
undergraduate student advisors. They agree to mentor a small cohort of Collegium students in their general academic area and help those students
connect with other important faculty contacts. This interaction will enhance the students' academic experiences, enrich the faculty members' research
and teaching, and create the type of documentable experiences that will benefit the students in immeasurable ways.
